Herbalife was established in 1980 by Mark Hughes. His vision was to change people lives by helping them with their weight and financially prosperity.

Since that time, Mark Hughes created a billion dollar producing company. With more than 2 million distributors in 72 countries, Herbalife is one of the biggest Network Marketing companies today. Herbalife experience this growth due to great nutrition products.

Nutrition products:

Weight Loss- Herbalife use what is called Shapeworks diet program. This program help people achieve amazing weight loss results. This diet program speeds up metabolism and control appetite to help you lose weight faster.

Skin Care- Herbalife has skin care products to reverse the signs of aging and revitalize the skin and hair. Also, they have different fragrances that are implemented in this segment.

Energy and Fitness- Herbalife has their own line of energy drinks that are formulated to give natural energy for active lifestyles.

With all these great products, it’s no wonder why this company makes over a billion dollars a year in profits. With these records profits, there’s no surprise why this would make a great business opportunity.

Business Opportunity:

With Herbalife, you can work full-time or part-time. As a distributor, you can earn income a couple of ways. First way – you can buy products at wholesale prices and sell them at retail prices. Second Way – you can recruit distributors and create a team to maximize the earning potential.

Distributors who are really determined can reach the rank of Supervisor. By reaching this rank, you qualify for additional income, which is paid based off sales of those you personally sponsor. This rank will give you leverage to earn residual income – month after month – year after year.

Even with this record growth and products, people are still skeptical about this business model. Complaints being said are “Products are too expensive” and/or “Distributors don’t make enough money.”

Come on people! These products are average price – don’t believe me, compare it to other brand names. People typically think it’s more because distributors make commission off of these products. The company is able to pay commission because they don’t have to spend any money on advertisement and marketing. This alone saves the company millions of dollars per year.

Distributors don’t make money? Now, think about this – do you think there would be more than 2 million distributors in 72 countries if you couldn’t make money? During Herbalife existence they created over a hundred millionaires.

Why is Network Marketing viewed so Negatively?

Network Marketing has been around for many decades, and still today the word “Network Marketing” is viewed as a “Scam”. There are many companies that utilize Network Marketing to save money on advertisement and also create wealth for their distributors.

What is Network Marketing?

Network Marketing is a marketing strategy that compensates independent sales people/distributors to market and sell products or services. Network Marketing is also referred to as MLM, Direct Sales, Referral Marketing, and Pyramid Selling. Of course you’ve heard of companies like Mary K, Avon, and Amway, to name a few. These companies make millions, if not billions, of dollars per year.

So, what’s the negative aspect?

The negative view of Network Marketing is the Pyramid structure, which people tend to use the word “Pyramid Scheme” very loosely. The one’s who typically use the word “Scheme” are not educated on what network marketing really is.

Every company has a pyramid structure to it, unless you’re a small independent business owner with a mortar-brick company. Let me explain – with Corporate America, you have the CEO/ Owner is at the top of the chain. Then you have the middle level executives that are under the CEO. Next, you have the front line managers who are under the middle level executives. Lastly, you have the normal workers that are under the front line managers.

So now you’re wondering what is the “Pyramid Scheme” that everyone is talking about. Let me explain. A Pyramid Scheme is where you’re getting paid only to recruit others into an organization where there’s no real product or service taking place. An example of this is when someone requests 20 dollars and in turn you get 2 other people to send you 20 dollars. There is no service or product being exchanged.

Network Marketing has created more Millionaires than any other business in the world. If you’re interested in Network Marketing, you need to do your due diligence and investigate the company thoroughly. With most Network Companies you can get paid off retail of the product alone.

Getting involved in Network Marketing will not guarantee any success. You must work this like any other business, and the Clue is Marketing. If you can’t market well you will have a greater chance of failing.
